1.  What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools?

Kindergarten Teacher 

2.  What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have?  

I have been teaching at Vaughn School since January 2020.  I started out at Vaughn as an Early Kindergarten Teacher, and then took the opportunity to move over to teaching Kindergarten.  Prior to teaching at Vaughn, I taught at a one-room schoolhouse and was a preschool teacher for 16 years. I have been in the field of education for 23 years, starting out as a preschool assistant, and working my way up over the years to a kindergarten teacher. Ever since I was a first grader, it has always been my dream to be a kindergarten teacher, and I am so happy that I finally accomplished that goal at Vaughn School!

3.  Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and if/where you graduated from college.  

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I graduated from a rural high school, Norco High, and graduated from college at Cal State San Bernardino.  My family and I relocated to Fairfield, Montana the summer of 2017 in search for a better life and safer environment to raise our own children in. 

4.  Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other. 

My husband and two boys reside with me on the Fairfield Bench.  I am fortunate to have my own children attend school with me at Vaughn School. 

5.  Do you have any pets?

We currently do not have any pets. 

6.  What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I love spending time outside of school with my family.  We enjoy watching movies together, going camping in the summer, and playing at the park.  My personal hobbies are reading and baking goodies for my family and friends.
