1.  What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools? 

Special Education Colony/K-4

2.  What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have? 

I worked in professional theater for 10 years before becoming a Para in Wyoming. I was a Para here in Great Falls for 3 years before getting my teaching degree. From there I worked briefly as a substitute teacher, then briefly as a K-6 Special Education teacher at Valley View, then two years at Great Falls High in Special Education. 

3.  Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and where you graduated from college.

 I was born and raised in Gillette, Wy. I moved to Billings to attend undergraduate school graduating with a theatre degree. From there I went to Western Illinois University for my Theatre Masters. I lived in Iowa for many years before moving back home to help take care of my dad. I met my now husband and we moved to Great Falls where I finished my teaching and special education degree online while I was working as a para.

4.  Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.

 I have my husband and permanent foster child.

5.  Do you have any pets?

 I have three dogs, and Mr. Squirrel (who is wild but lives in our tree and hangs out with us and the dogs.

6.  What are some of your hobbies and interests?

 I enjoy camping up at the Dearborn, reading, and playing with my dogs. 

7.  Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself? 

I have been to 49 of the 50 states (Missing Alaska) as well as Germany and Austria.
