1. What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools?

Currently teaching 6-7-8- Social Studies and Science / Spanish online.

 2.   What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools, and how many years of experience do you have?

31 years in Education.  Retired as the North Middle School Principal in 2023.   I was Associate Principal of the Year for the State of Montana in 2015.    Middle School Administrator ( Intern, Associate Principal, and Principal of North Middle School ) in Great Falls, Appeared on CNN News for a Pi Day math lesson,  RTI/ MTSS Coordinator/ Trainer, Second year teacher trainer, Adjunct prof. at MSU - College for Science, Curriculum teams Science, Math, and ELA, Team leader, Middle school teacher of Math and Science, Safe Schools Leader, Threat Team leader,  Building test coordinator ( NAEP, State, District and Building), Trained in MANDT, trained in home visits, active shooter training,  work directly with at risk youth in middle school, Wrote School Handbook, Staff Handbook, Student Binder Handbook insert, Built Master schedule, built daily schedule and special schedules, Ran Celebration assemblies, planned and instructed PLCT,   Use data from assessments and Elem. to building the master schedule based on student needs/ data.  Help weekly Admin/ Counselor meetings with community partners.  Worked with Nick Kids News for three years while overseeing MBI students, Over saw and directed National Junior Honor Society,  Taught 6-7-8 grade, every subject, and taught 1 year K-1-2.  Substitute, teacher aide, and volunteer.  Coached track, Basketball, and assisted with Cross-Country.  

3. Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and if/where you graduated from college.

Graduated with Masters in Administration K-12 in 2003, B.S. in 1993, Graduated from Simms High School in 1988. 

4. Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.

Married for 34 years, two grown sons who live in Montana with their families. 

5. Do you have any pets?

I have two dogs.  The Great Dane is Tawd and the Black lab is Tyrone. BIG DOG LOVER!

6. What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy camping and riding rzr or dirt bikes in the mountains.  I love to travel and explore new cities.   I enjoy working outside in my yard in every season except winter.
