Mrs. Wahl

1. What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools?
I am the lead teacher at Hillcrest colony, as well as providing special education services for the 2024/25 year.

2. What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience do you have?
I taught Kindergarten in Power Public Schools for 4 years.

3. Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and if/where you graduated from college.
I grew up in northern British Columbia, Canada, and graduated from high school there. I moved to Montana at the age of 20, when I got married, and have lived in the town of Dutton for 31 years. I spent the first years of my marriage raising my children, and helping my husband with our custom harvesting business. Eventually, I attended college and got my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education through MSU Northern. Currently, I am completing my Masters' Degree in Special Education with an emphasis on working with children with visual impairments, and will be graduating this December 2023.

4. Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.
I am married and have 7 amazing children, and 4 grandchildren. My youngest son is the only one still living at home with us and will be a Junior at the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind (MSDB).

5. Do you have any pets?
We have one cat named Alice.

6. What are some of your hobbies and interests?
I love to spend time with my friends and family and often host parties and gatherings. I love to travel, and enjoy genealogy research.

7. Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself?
I am an outgoing and social person, and always enjoy meeting new people.
