1. What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools?
a. I am teaching first grade!

2. What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you
been involved with, if any, at previous schools and how many years of experience
do you have?
a. Last year, beginning of 2022 I student taught in the first grade classroom here in Vaughn under Ms. M’s supervision. I was fortunate enough to take her place for the 2022-2023 school year. This was my first year teaching, ever!

3. Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and where you graduated from college.
a. I was born in Great Falls, MT and for the past 26 years I have called this place my home. I attended high school at Centerville High School, where I graduated alongside my 16 other classmates. Centerville High School is in the middle of Tracy, Sand Coulee, and Stockett. After I graduated high school I headed down to Dillon, MT where I attended college at the University of Montana- Western. I graduated in May of 2022 with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

4. Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.
a. In 2018 I became a step mother to two wonderful boys, Kylar and Brently, when I met their father, Beau. Beau and I got married in September of 2021, but right before we got married we welcomed another boy into this world, Bowdy William in June of 2021. Being a boy mom has been so much fun!! Both of my older boys attend school in Great Falls, and are very kind, hardworking young men. Beau is a truck driver, he hauls fuel throughout Montana. Bowdy is definitely a mama’s boy, and I love every second of it—he is the best!

5. Do you have any pets?
a. We have tons of pets! We have 3 dogs (Drake, Lily, and Jack-Jack), 1 cat (Martha), 1 goat (Curtis), 1 horse (Maggie), and many longhorns. We stay plenty busy trying to keep up with all of them!

6. What are some of your hobbies and interests?
a. I am a huge fan of basketball. I absolutely love the outdoors; camping, fishing, and hunting are some of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy going 4-wheeling, riding in the side by side, or even riding on the bike when the weather is warm!

Each summer as a family we plant a huge garden, and spend most of our time tending to it throughout the spring/ summer. I enjoy playing horseshoes, each summer I play on the city league!

7. Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself?
a. I am quite good at horseshoes and a couple years ago I went to state and ended up placing first! It was so much fun. I come from a big family, I have 12 siblings and many, many nieces and nephews.
