1.  What is your current role(s) at Vaughn Schools?

My official title is "Bus Driver". However, after two years of teaching 4th grade, I prefer to be referred to as the "Pupil Transport Specialist Detainer"....or "PTSD" for short. 

2.  What previous teaching, coaching, or other extracurricular activities have you been involved with, if any, at previous schools, and how many years of experience do you have?

For over twenty years I have been trying unsuccessfully to teach my kids to clean their rooms, do the dishes and take care of their own laundry. I feel like this is the year though when my coaching will pay off and they will finally "get it". 

3.  Give us a brief history to include where you are from, where you were born, where you graduated from high school, and if/where you graduated from college.

My husband tells me he believes I simply fell from heaven like a perfect snowflake or perhaps even an angel. Truth is, I grew up in the Bay Area of California (don't judge me) and got my teaching degree from the University of Idaho. 

4.  Tell us about your family, spouse, or significant other.

Seems awkward to talk about both my spouse and my significant other soooooo... will keep it to my spouse. My husband and I have been married happily for 18 years and nearly 22 years total. We have four awesome kids and two I wouldn't leave an electric chair to go hang out with.  

5.  Do you have any pets?

See question #4....plus a barking cat named Willow and three actual cats that haven't told us their names yet.

6.  What are some of your hobbies and interests?

Cooking, cleaning and reminding kids to get their homework done. Just kidding, those are my least favorite things. When I am not at the school or watching my kids' events, I LOVE to quilt, create with epoxy, sew clothing for my kids and myself, and other crafts.

7.  Are there any other interesting tidbits you want to share about yourself?

I once shot an elephant in my pajamas. I have no idea how he got into my pajamas.
